Share
On Sunday, 29 June 2025, more than 300 guests gathered under the London sun at London Wasps FC in Acton for one of the most anticipated Latin American cultural events of the year: the Gran Asado Argentino, organized by The Anglo-Argentine Society. The event brought a sizzling taste of Argentina to the UK capital—blending authentic food, music, tradition, and community spirit.
The event was led by Fátima Nollén, Chairwoman of The Anglo-Argentine Society, whose commitment and warmth brought the community together for another successful edition of this beloved tradition.
Culinary Traditions & Community Vibes
Hosted by The Anglo-Argentine Society, which has promoted friendship between the UK and Argentina since 1948, the asado delivered an unforgettable culinary experience. A team led by chefs Bernardo Neville and Santiago Miranda grilled three whole cattle, along with Argentine classics like choripán, morcilla, and cordero, prepared in traditional style.
Music, Games & Raffle Excitement

Live performances by DJ Sergio Schuchinsky, Sophie Olivers, and the Brixton Cumbia Association brought energy and rhythm to the day, with tango, cumbia, and folklore music getting people moving. A fundraising raffle added excitement, featuring prizes such as flights to Buenos Aires, rugby match tickets, and more—benefiting Argentine charities Haciendo Camino and Red de Comunidades Rurales.
Special Guests & Diplomacy
Among the distinguished guests was Argentine Ambassador Mariana Plaza, who attended as a special invitee and was warmly welcomed by the community. Other notable attendees included cultural attaché Gonzalo Ortiz de Zárate and Consul Carolina Pérez Colman, reflecting the strong and ongoing ties between Argentina and the UK.
Stalls & A Special Launch
One of the highlights beyond the food and music was the vibrant market area, where several stalls showcased Argentine culture, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Among them was the public debut of Accesorios Argentinos, our very own brand offering Argentine-inspired accessories. We were thrilled to introduce our collection to such a warm and culturally connected audience. The event provided the perfect stage to launch, connect with the community, and share a little piece of Argentine design in London.
The positive feedback, interest, and conversations we had throughout the day were an inspiring start to our journey—and we can’t wait for what comes next.
A Day to Remember
With perfect weather, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a powerful sense of togetherness, the Gran Asado Argentino 2025 was more than just a BBQ—it was a celebration of shared heritage, friendship, and cultural pride.
From sizzling meats to music, from heartfelt causes to new beginnings like ours, this year's Gran Asado Argentino was, once again, a complete success. We were proud to be part of it, and even prouder to have chosen this event for the launch of Accesorios Argentinos.
